Wandering in Athens…
The summer has arrived, and we are strolling in Athens, mid July.
But how does it feel? How can one describe the imagery unfolding in front of you as you wander in the narrow streets of Plaka, holding a colorful tasty ice cream, refreshing you as you are passing by ancient sights mixed with stimulating smells of greek foods, spreaded from nearby traditional taverns.
Light beams of the greek sun are penetrating the shaded sidewalks that you are walking, as you storm outside to explore the city. Suddenly you spot the Acropolis from an opening between the houses, “knitted” behind olive tree and pine tree branches.
You are there, at Dionysiou Aeropagitou street, and you start meeting the Ancient Roman Forum, the local bazaar, the musicians embracing the vibe of the city giving back with their notes. It is where you will want to return, to enjoy a cool drink later at night, as more people will keep passing by the place throughout the day. Because the day in Athens, never ends.
