Athens, Ilisia - Hilton Area

Ilisia is a district of Athens located on the eastern side of the City of Athens, between Ambelokipi, Goudi, Zografou, Kesariani and Pagrati. It features the pine forest of Syggrou and the green squares of Madrid and Brazil.
Ilisia was flown by the river Ilissos. Today Ilissos flows along Michalakopoulou and Kallirroe streets, because since the 1960s it has been underground. From the area of Ilissia starts the university of Athens campus. The area is served by Metro Megaron Station, whose eastern entrance is in front of the Eginition Hospital and several bus and trolleybus lines.
Ampelokipoi or ‘Ampelokipi, meaning ‘vineyards’, is a large, central district of the city of Athens. Ampelokipoi is in the center of Athens, near Zografou, Goudi, Psychiko and Pagkrati. The area is famous for hosting Panathinaikos’s home ground since it was inaugurated in 1922.
